Who Are We?
The project unites four dynamic organizations:
- LYKEIO TON HELLIDION – Veria (Greece) – defending women’s rights and preserving Greek heritage.
- Asociatia Tinerilor cu Initiativa Civica (Romania) – engaging youth in civic life and inclusion.
- EVROPAIKO KENTRO KOINONIKON EPISTIMON POLITISMOU KAI ATHLITISMOU – EQUALINE (Greece) – promoting equality, education and social innovation.
- SDRUZHENIE EVROPEYSKI PROEKTI V Bulgaria (Bulgaria) – empowering young people through democratic participation and EU values.
Together, they work to ensure that gender equality becomes a lived experience for all young Europeans.
Activities
EmpowerHER aims to strengthen youth participation, leadership and advocacy; promote gender equality as a core European value; and build cooperation between young people, NGOs and policymakers.

Welcome to EmpowerHER – Breaking Barriers: Youth-Led Initiatives for Gender Equality!
EmpowerHER is an Erasmus+ project that brings together young people from Greece, Romania and Bulgaria to promote gender equality, civic participation and youth empowerment.
Through innovative non-formal learning, open dialogue and creative campaigns, the project creates opportunities for youth to develop leadership, advocacy and communication skills while learning how to engage with policymakers and institutions.
Through workshops, simulations, campaigns and policy dialogues, EmpowerHER connects young citizens and decision-makers in a shared mission, to make equality and inclusion a lived reality across Europe.
Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, EmpowerHER contributes to the EU Youth Strategy 2019–2027 and directly supports European Youth Goal #5: Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities for All.
EmpowerHER stands for equality, respect and youth leadership, because when young voices rise, equality thrives.
